As the only Copper and Brass Sales location capable of straightening, chamfering, and holding outside diameter tolerances as tight as ±0.0004 on 12-foot bar, our Rochester team delivers exceptional accuracy for critical components where consistency and precision matter most.

In-house capabilities include:

  • Chamfering: We remove sharp edges and burrs to create clean, beveled ends on metal bar. Chamfering improves safety, supports tighter tolerances, and enhances performance in aerospace, automotive, and medical applications.
  • Centerless Grinding: Our centerless grinding operation produces exceptional roundness, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy on round bar and tube. This process is ideal for high-precision components across aerospace, automotive, medical, and general manufacturing industries.
  • Cutting services: We offer saw cutting, cut-to-length, and precision cutting. Chamfering and grinding can be paired with cutting to deliver finished bars or tubes with clean, burr-free edges.
  • Straightening: Straightening services for bar sizes from 5/16" to 1.250".
  • Laser etching: We provide permanent part marking – including barcodes, serial numbers, and traceability information – supporting the requirements of aerospace, medical, automotive, and other regulated industries.

As the company’s dedicated centerless grinding hub, Rochester delivers superior roundness and surface finishes for stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, brass, and aluminum bars. In addition to processing, we also provide warehousing and distribution services.

Equipment Highlights

  • Centerless grinders (OM2 and 340-20): Provide precise OD grinding for stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, brass, and aluminum bars measuring 9 feet and longer. These systems ensure exceptional roundness and surface finish, with straightening and grinding capabilities ranging from 5/16” to 1.250” in diameter.
  • Meeco bar straightener: Provides tight straightness tolerances for improved machinability and final part performance.
  • Custom-built chamfering machine: Produces clean, consistent bevels for burr-free, ready-to-use bar and tube ends.
  • Tsune, Spartan, and Behringer saws: High-precision cut-to-length saws supporting a wide range of diameters and materials.
  • Laser etcher: Permanently marks parts with serialized IDs, barcodes, and traceability information across most metals.
  • Profilometer: Performs RA surface finish testing to ensure compliance with demanding industry requirements.
